3 reasons why selling this winter makes perfect sense

At the end of December 2015 I wrote a post on my 3 predictions for the market in 2016. As we approach the halfway mark of 2016, I wanted to revisit this and take stock of where we’re at: The bubble won’t burst, there will be growth: we got this one spot on. In fact, according the CoreLogic RP Data Sydney saw 4.5% growth on the median house price January-April. International and local demand will remain high: Tightening in legislation in China on restricting capital outflows, coupled with lending changes by our major banks, means international demand has... 3 ways mobility is changing real estate

I read an article recently in The Australian about how everything around us is speeding up. Everything seems faster and more competitive than ever before: we work more, sleep less, and are constantly connected to the wider world. While I’ll leave it to others to comment on the changes to society in general, the “constantly connected” theme works well with me as technology, and mobile technology in particular, has and will continue to revolutionise real estate. It’s hardly surprising: Australian’s are addicted to their mobile devices. Over 80% of Australians own at least one smartphone. These stats aren't new but... View article »

It might be cooler, but the bubble isn’t going to burst

I’ve read and watched with interest lately all the chatter going around the property market around the so-called bubble burst. We all know that given the boom the market has experienced in recent years that it has been, and will remain, a hot media topic. While I don’t want to simply add to the reams of copy on this subject, I’m often asked for my opinion on where the market is headed: in a nutshell, given the data I’ve seen and the market analysis my team has done with our clients, I think the debate raging about the bubble bursting... Technology should be your friend, not your enemy.

I’ve always looked at technology as something I should embrace in my business. With the speed at which different technology types have changed our world, it’s only natural that real estate would be a key industry to feel the effects of this change. We’re always looking at new ways we can assist our vendors in getting the right marketing technology platform to help drive their property sale. We rigorously test and analyse anything we bring on board to ensure that it enhances the property selling and buying process. And by doing so we’ve been at the forefront of a whole range...
