I received a very unexpected but welcome accolade last night at the Local Business Awards. Very humbled to receive the North Shore Businessperson of the year for 2016, especially given the calibre of the finalist’s I was up against. There are some great business leaders on the north shore; it certainly was a crack field. It was a double celebration for Curran Property, with the team also recognised as a finalist for the real estate business of the year.
This award has added to what has been a great year with a number of highlights such as achieving a record upper north shore sale price, being asked to speak at the Business of Real Estate Conference and being interviewed for the cover story in Elite Agent on our approach to the business. I’m especially proud that our work in the community has been recognised, particularly our support for local anti-bullying charity Make Bullying History. Its something that both I and the Curran team are very passionate about.
While the award may read Businessperson of the year, it’s really an award for the entire Curran Property team. We’ve had a fantastic 2016 with some sensational sales results for our clients and while we still have a few month left to go it’s humbling to receive an award that recognises the work we do.
